Effect of Herba Dendrobii Added Sambi-tang on Type Ⅱ Collagen-Induced Arthritis

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectuve and Methods: This study was designed to elucidate the effect of Herba Dendrobii Added Sambi-tang on Type Ⅱ Collagen-Induced Arthritis. Herba Dendrobii Added Sambi-tang were orally administered to rats with Type Ⅱ Collagen-Induced Arthritis and then IgG anti-collagen antibody, CRP, ESR, WBC, NO(Nitric Oxide) in urine, were measured.
Results:
1. IgG anti-collagen antibody levels of sample group in rats of Type Ⅱ collagen induced Arthritis was a little decreased as compared with that of control group on post 2nd week after initial immunization, but significantly decreased on post 3th and 4th week.
2. CRP levels of sample group in rats of Type Ⅱ collagen induced Arthritis was a little increased compared with that of control group on post 2nd week after initial immunization, but after 4th week, CRP levels was showned decreasing compared to control group.
3. ESR levels of in sample group in rats of Type Ⅱ collagen induced Arthritis was decreased as compared with that of control group on post 2nd week after initial immunization, and then significantly decreased on post 4th week.
4. WBC levels of sample group in rats of Type Ⅱ collagen induced Arthritis was some increased as compared with that of control group on post 2nd week after initial immunization, but significantly decreased on post 4th week.
5. NO(Nitric Oxide) levels in urine of sample group was decreased as compared with that of control group on post 2nd week after initial immunization, and after 4th week, NO(Nitric Oxide) in urine was showned significantly decreasing compared to control group.
Conclusions: According to the above results, it might be considered that Herba Dendrobii Added Sambi-tang have a curative effect on treating Rheumatoid arthritis.
